PRELAB QUESTIONS: (to be turned in upon arriving at lab)

1. Read Giancoli sections 23.1 and 23.2 thoroughly.

2. (This time, unlike our usual instructions, you really don't have to look through the whole lab in advance, except perhaps to familiarize yourself with the first page - think a bit about what you expect to see...)

3. If you look into a mirror, and see the image of your own nose, where would you say that image is located? (Is it at the surface of the mirror? In front of it? Behind it?)

4. When you have one eye closed, what happens to your depth perception? Is it better than usual? Worse? Completely gone? Briefly explain your thoughts about WHY you answered as you did.

5. In your own words, what is a "light ray"? Are there light rays emanating from your nose when you look in the mirror? (One? More than one?) Do any of those light rays (from your nose) strike your eye?

Thanks for your time and efforts!

Optional! - below is a space for any additional relevant comments, thoughts, or suggestions you have. If you want to elaborate on any "multiple choice" questions, do so here. It can also be about anything you'd like to tell or ask relating in some way to this class! If you expect a reply, however, it's much better to email your professors.
