PRELAB QUESTIONS: (to be turned in upon arriving at lab)

Reflection: interference
These questions will not be graded for content, we just want to know your opinion regarding LAST WEEK's LAB, the one on interference of light (with the PhET sim, and the lasers

1. I thought this lab was __________ USEFUL for learning about interference.

very
pretty
somewhat
barely
not at all

(not answered)

2. I thought this lab was __________ ENJOYABLE for a physics lab.

very
pretty
somewhat
barely
not at all

(not answered)

3. Very briefly, compare this last lab with earlier labs, which did (or did not!) use the Phet (computer) simulations. Did you have a preference for one lab over the others? Try to come up with something brief, concrete, and constructive - this will help us improve our labs for future 2020 students!

4. Most of the term, labs came AFTER we had covered the corresponding topic in class. But for the last two labs (lenses, and diffraction), everyone except the Friday section pretty much got their FIRST exposure to a brand new topic in lab. Which, if either, ordering did you prefer? Why? We're interested in your thoughts. (Friday lab folks - you should chime in too, although in your case all the labs came after the topic had been discussed some in class)

Thanks for your time and efforts!

Optional! - below is a space for any additional relevant comments, thoughts, or suggestions you have. If you want to elaborate on any "multiple choice" questions, do so here. It can also be about anything you'd like to tell or ask relating in some way to this class! If you expect a reply, however, it's much better to email your professors.
