PHYSICS 2020 Grade Getter
  • As specified in the syllabus, your final grade is computed as
     0.15*(lab score as %)  
     + 0.125*(exam 1 as %) + 0.125*(exam 2 as %) + 0.125*(exam 3 as %) 
     + 0.275*(final exam as %)
     + .17*(capa as % after dropping worst)
     + .03*(average "recitation score" as %)
    
    This gives you a score from 0-100. 
    The class average for this score is 74% (which is thus the approximate B/C boundary).
    The "recitation score" is obtained as follows: find your average quiz
    score (as %), and your average capa long answer score (as %) then
    average THOSE two. The TA's were normalized to account for different
    grading styles, so you may have gotten a  slightly different
    score than you thought, for both labs and quiz/long answer. This is not
    a mistake, it's generally a small correction, and everyone has been
    treated equally.
