The exam will be closed book. However, you may bring in a normal 8.5 x11 sheet of paper, with your own notes hand written on it (both sides if you like).
Material will be from the entire course, but the emphasis will be put on new material since the last exam. This includes F+T Ch 4 (Schrodinger's equation in 1-d: Bound states) Ch. 9 (Schrodinger's equation in 1-d: scattering, reflection, transmission) and Ch. 5 (Schrodinger's equation in 3-d). In class, we will cover slightly beyond what's in Ch. 5, so see the notes, or e.g. the beginning of F+T Ch.11. The beginning of Beiser Ch. 6 is probably better for that material)
