Welcome to Phys 3320, Principles of Electricity and Magnetism II!
Have a look at the course syllabus and feel free to start reviewing your E&M I (Chapters 1-6 of the text, Introduction to Electrodynamics 3rd Ed., by David J. Griffiths)
Special notes, please read
- Exams: Our two midterms will be Tuesday evenings, Oct 4 and Nov 1, from 7 to 9 PM. If you cannot make EITHER or BOTH of those, please email me (Steven.Pollock at Colorado.edu) ASAP (deadline: By Monday Aug 29!)

- **SURVEY**: Please consider taking a short online survey about your thoughts on the role of computation in physics.

Monday 3-5 PM (in G2B75, which is one of the Tutorial bays in the basement)
Tuesday 3-5 PM (These will be in the 11th floor Commons Room, top of the physics tower)
- Reading: Review Ch 1-6, (especially Ch 2 and 5) We start Chapter 7 next Monday - see the "Calendar" link on the left for details.
- We will be using clickers in class this term. Please get one and bring it every day!
- Written Homework: See the Calendar and Homeworks link (always available on the upper left of this site).
Preflights are due Monday mornings, homeworks are due Wednesdays (start of class).
Preflight #1 (Due Monday, Aug 28, at 10 AM!) is available. From your learn.colorado.edu page, sign in to our 3320 class, then look for the "quizzes" link near the top center of the screen. These Preflights are not graded for correctness, just for honest participation.
HOMEWORK #1 (Due Wed, Aug 31, at the start of class) is now available.
