Physics 3320, Electromagnetism II
Instructors: Steven Pollock, Paul Beale, Charles Baily
LAs: Danny Rehn and Stephen Ragole
The physical laws which govern electrodynamics were unified (and corrected) by James Clerk Maxwell, the hero of our course, who, alas, did not get a trademark for "Maxwell's Equations". T-shirt vendors have taken full advantage of this. He also made the first true color photograph and made important contributions to statistical mechanics.
Week 5 (Sep 19-23):
- NOTE: there will be an assignment coming up asking you to read a physics paper from a journal, and summarize it. More information will be forthcoming, but for now check out the link and start thinking about finding a paper to read!
- Office hours/help sessions: See "Instructor info" link
- Solutions: See "virtual office hours" link, in addition to the d2l (learn.colorado.edu) site.
- Exams: Our two midterms will be Tuesday evenings, Oct 4 and Nov 1, from 7 to 9 PM. These exam dates are now set!
