Week 1 (Aug 25-29):
Welcome to Phys 3320, Principles of Electricity and Magnetism II!
Have a look at the course syllabus and start reviewing your E&M I.
That's chapters 1-6 of Griffiths' "Introduction to Electrodynamics", but most important for now are Ch 1 (math), 2 (electrostatics) and 5 (magnetostatics)
This 1st week we will begin by reviewing material from last semester, hence the pictures of two big stars of PHYS3310, Carl Friederich Gauss and André-Marie Ampère .

ROOM SWITCH! We are moving to Phys G125, effective immediately. See you there, Wed.
We will use iclickers in class this term. Please get one, register it (this has to be redone if you haven't done it recently - they've changed systems), and bring it every day!
- Exams: Our two midterms will be Thursday evenings, Oct 2 and Nov 13, from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. If you cannot make EITHER or BOTH of those, please email me (Steven.Pollock at Colorado.edu) ASAP (deadline: By Tues Sep 2!)
- Reading: Review Ch 1-6, (especially Ch 2 and 5) We start Chapter 7 after ~1 week of review - see the "Calendar" tab (Also, see "Lecture & Clickers" - you can find review notes there. )
- Homework: See the "Calendar & Homework" tab! (Always due Wed at start of class)
Preflights will always be due Monday mornings at 10 AM. I'll post them here (front page) and in the calendar tab, on Fridays.
Homework #0 (Due Wed, Aug 27, at the start of class. Yes, two days in!). NOTE: This homework is meant to be 3310 review and is due right away, the 2nd class period! If you have to miss the first lecture for any reason - take note!
