Project Information

The last few weeks of the semester are devoted to projects. You will use the skills you have learned to explore a topic of your choice. Pick something you are excited about! If you have an idea for a project at any time during the semester, by all means discuss it with your instructor and begin reading and collecting the materials you will need. This course is mostly about analog rather than digital electronics, because a good knowledge of analog is more important for laboratory scientists. We will discourage projects that are all or mostly digital.

For more information you can check out the slides from class on 11/27.

There are several deadlines assoicated with this assignment:

To get some ideas for projects you can check out an old list. This list has quite a few digital electronics projects on it. Therefore, there is also a recent list of projects which may be more useful.

You are encouraged to work individually or with one partner. In certain cases, we may allow a group of three people. No larger groups are allowed. You can work with someone outside of your section if you prefer. All participants are required to write their own progress report and final report. The presentation should be 10 minutes for an individual project or a combined 15 minutes for a group project.
