Week 1 (Aug 27-31): CHARGES and COULOMB'S LAW: Giancoli Chapter 16.1-16.6 this week. (Also, see the "lecture notes link", always available on the left of this page, read notes 16.1-16.17 this week)
Week 2 (Sep 3-7, but Mon is Labor day): ELECTRIC FIELDS: Rest of Chapter 16 this week (we will skip section 16.10, and 16.11-12 are optional - just for fun, but interesting, check them out!) (In my lecture notes, rest of Ch. 16 notes)
Week 3 (Sep 10-14): VOLTAGE: Start Chapter 17 this week (we will skip section 17.6). In my lecture notes, first half of Ch. 17 notes
Week 4 (Sep 17-21): EQUIPOTENTIALS and CAPACITORS: Finish Chapter 17 this week. In my lecture notes, rest of Ch. 17 notes. (17.10 and 11 are fun but optional. We'll talk about this in class, but you don't need to memorize the jargon. 17.11 is about EKG's - it's pretty interesting!)
Week 5 (Sep 24-28): CURRENT and RESISTORS: Starting Chapter 18 this week. (Note that 18.8 and 18.9 are optional) In my lecture notes, read Ch. 18 notes. (Note also that Thursday evening is the first midterm exam)
Week 6 (Oct 1-5) CIRCUITS. Starting on Ch 19 this week.
Week 7 (Oct 8-12) KIRCHOFF'S LAWS, and starting MAGNETISM. Starting Ch 20 this week. (Note that 19.5 and 6 are optional. As are the last few pages of my lecture notes, we will NOT cover pp. 14 onwards, the "RC circuit" stuff. )
Week 8 (Oct 15-19) MAGNETIC FORCES, continuing CH 20 (Skipping 20.8)
Week 9 (Oct 22-26) (Note that Thursday is the 2nd midterm exam) We'll finish up Ch 20, and will be starting FARADAY's LAW (chapter 21) at the end of this week. to be continued next week.
Week 10 (Oct 29-Nov 2) FARADAY'S and LENZ' LAWS (chapter 21) this week. (You can skip 21.9-14!)
Week 11 (Nov 5-9) Maxwell's Equations, light, and EM Waves. Chapter 22 this week. (You can skip 22.5 and 22.6)
Week 12 (Nov 12-16) EM Waves, and intro to OPTICS. Starting Ch 23 this week, You can skip 23.3, and we won't cover 23.9 or 10 either

Week 13 (Nov 26-30) OPTICS (Note that Thursday is the 3rd midterm exam). We'll be finishing Ch 23 this week (again, skipping 23.3, 9, and 10) (Note that if you want to look ahead, we're going to do Ch 25.1-4 first, before finishing the term up in Ch. 24.)
Week 14 (Dec 3-7) OPTICS 25.2 and 25.3. Later in the week (Friday), we will start "PHYSICAL OPTICS" (Light as a wave, again!) Ch. 24.3 -6
Week 15 Dec 10-14) PHYSICAL OPTICS. Finishing Ch 24 this week, (but 24.9 and 11 are totally optional)
