Week 5 Highlights: Voltage and Capacitance

Special notes:

• The distribution of scores is shown, the class did great! (That link also has concrete suggestions for anyone feeling unhappy about their performance on the first midterm)
• This week only: Extra credit ONLINE PARTICIPATION: From time to time, I put a new survey up: this is the 2nd such survey of the term, please  take a few minutes (it may take ~15) This one is a survey of basic scientific reasoning skills, I think you'll find it interesting. (The first couple of questions may look a little easy, but it gets more puzzle-like and interesting as it goes on!) As always for "online participation", we give you full credit for participating (and do not grade you on your performance), but please do your best and stick through it all the way to the end if you can, we very much appreciate your time and effort! (Scroll past the "informed consent" and be sure to fill in your name and ID - if you do that, I'll be able to give you credit!)
• We also have an 1120 CULink page. Your grades are there (as of the first midterm, it's not "live". I'll update it after each midterm). If you have a zero for "clickers", maybe you haven't registered your clicker yet? Don't forget to do that, and it must be for the correct lecture (10 AM or noon!)
• Our WebCT page also has a "threaded messages" list - please ask each other questions about the course, even (especially!) homework there, and respond to one another. It's great for you to ask questions, give and get help about the problems, give hints. Use it as a resource to collaborate  - if you feel comfortable knowing that I'll be reading it, then what you're posting is probably fine!
• "Virtual office hours" link is where I post email questions, if I think they're of general interest.
