Week 2 (Sep 1-5) (Monday is a holiday, enjoy the break!)

This week we continue our review of Phys 3310, and will start on new material (beginning of Chapter 7) on Friday. As we shift from statics into dynamics, we start by revisiting current, and the key idea of "local conservation of electric charge".

  • CU' (CU-Prime) is having a kickoff lecture (by physics grad students for physics undergrad majors), Tues 5 PM in the 11th floor commons room. (It happens to be about Physics Education Research this week)
  • Homework: See the "Calendar & HW" tab! (Always due Wed at start of class)
    Preflight #1 is due Wed Sep 3 @10 AM!   The required password is always 3320
    ( I generally time them to open up Friday after class, due Mon morning, but this week Mon is a holiday.)
    Note: Preflights are always graded soley for honest attempt, not scored for correctness.

  • Reading: See "Lecture notes" tab, and start reading Griffiths 7.1 for Friday.
